Location: Various sites in Duncan and Chemainus Position Status: Part-Time, Possibility of Full-Time Wage Range: $20.50/hr - $21.53/hr Shifts: Various days, evenings, and overnight shifts Reports to: Site Supervisor JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Provide assistance and information to employees, visitors, and clients in a courteous and professional manner. Provide access control ensuring only authorized individuals enter restricted areas by verifying credentials. Conductfootspatrols to maintain visibility and cover all areas of the property. Respondquickly and effectively to emergencies such as fire alarms, medical incidents, or security breaches; take appropriate actionand coordinate with emergency services if necessary. Documentincidents, observations, and security-related activities in detailed written reports using Tracktik. Ensuresecurity equipment such as radios, phones, access control systemsare functioning,reporting any malfunctions. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Positive attitude with a professional demeanour to provide superior customer service. A valid BC Security Workers Licenseis an asset. A valid BC Driver''s License is an asset. Physically fit and able to perform patrol duties effectivelyin a range of weather conditions. Strong observational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in English to communication with other and write reports. Excellent problem solving skills with an ability to handle emergency situations in a calm manner.
