We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Driver. Who You Are You are responsible! You are a team player with a positive can-do attitude who seeks opportunities to help others and make every customer experience the best possible! As our Driver, you will be responsible for pick up and deliver RV units, towing and backing up trailers and 5th wheels as well as driving over height and above-average length vehicles. Safety is your pristine priority! If you have a general knowledge of maintenance and repair, that's great, but more importantly, you enjoy working on your own and have a strong desire to do the job right without cutting corners. Key Job Functions Transportation & Unit Transfers - Deliver, transfer, and pick up RVs, trailers, fifth wheels, and accessories as requested by the Sales or Service Manager. - Safely tow, back up, park, and maneuver over-height and above-average length vehicles with confidence and care. - Complete a Unit Transfer Report prior to delivering any unit to another Arbutus RV location. - Present completed Unit Transfer Reports to the Manager or Administrator at the receiving location. - Park and move units safely and efficiently on dealership lots and service areas. - Ensure all transported units and equipment are properly secured and protected from weather conditions. Vehicle & Unit Maintenance - Perform daily inspections of company vehicles and report any malfunctions, damage, or safety concerns to management immediately. - Conduct minor maintenance tasks such as replacing lights, batteries, or addressing minor cosmetic damage. - Empty RV sewage tanks in accordance with company procedures. - Fill unit gas tanks and/or propane tanks (if certified) upon request. - Assist with maintaining physical inventory on a regular basis. Lot & Facility Maintenance - Maintain a clean, safe, and professional dealership lot appearance. - Sweep, pick up trash and debris, empty garbage cans, and assist with snow and debris removal. - Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace. - Use company equipment, tools, and vehicles responsibly and respectfully. Detailing & Department Support - Assist the detailing department with interior and exterior RV cleaning as required. - Support Sales, Service, and other departments with miscellaneous duties as assigned. Customer Service & Professional Conduct - Interact with customers, visitors, and staff in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner. - Represent the dealership and its products positively at all times. - Promptly address lot-, cleanliness-, or delivery-related concerns when encountered. Safety & Compliance - Follow all company health and safety policies, procedures, and standards. - Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. - Maintain a safe and positive work environment for coworkers and customers. - Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of cleaning products and materials. - Operate all company vehicles and equipment in compliance with applicable laws and dealership policies. License & Certifications - Valid Class 5 Driver’s License required. - Heavy trailer endorsement required or willingness to obtain one upon hire; company support and training may be provided. - Class 3 or Class 1 Driver’s License considered an asset. - Forklift certification considered an asset. - Acceptable driver’s abstract and driving record required. Physical Requirements - Ability to lift parts and accessories up to 25 lbs. - Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, stretch, and perform physical tasks as required. - Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. - Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for extended periods. - Ability to safely enter, exit, and maneuver around RVs and trailers. - Strict adherence to all health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
