Dance Instructor (Part-Time / Contract) Warmland Dance – Downtown Duncan, Cowichan Valley, BC Warmland Dance is an established studio in downtown Duncan, proudly serving the Cowichan Valley for several years. As our programs continue to grow, we are expanding our team and seeking experienced, community-oriented dance educators to join us. We are looking for passionate, self-directed instructors with a minimum of 10 years’ experience working with children and youth of all ages, who are deeply committed to both artistic excellence and meaningful community connection. About the Role Reporting directly to the Artistic Director, our instructors are collaborative artists and educators who value ongoing professional development and the opportunity to work alongside other skilled dancers, teachers, and leaders. Our programs serve youth and adults, and we prioritize a relationship-based approach to teaching. At Warmland Dance, we are intentionally building a process-oriented studio culture. We center creativity, exploration, and collaboration, inviting students into the artistic process in a way that fosters intrinsic motivation and a genuine love of learning. Our instructors are expected to meet this engagement with thoughtful, high-level training that supports students in pursuing excellence. Through this approach, our students develop strong connections—to their instructors, peers, and themselves—while contributing to authentic, high-quality performances recognized for their artistry, technical strength, and emotional impact.
