Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Night Kitchen Supervisor to lead our evening and late-night kitchen operations. This role is ideal for a seasoned culinary professional who thrives in a shift-lead position. As a key member of our team, you will ensure smooth kitchen operations, maintain high-quality food standards, and support a positive and collaborative work environment. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee and supervise all kitchen activities during evening and night shifts, ensuring efficient service and food preparation. - Prepare and cook menu items with consistency, precision, and adherence to established recipes and presentation guidelines. - Monitor food quality, freshness, and inventory to uphold our high culinary standards. - Lead and support the kitchen team, providing guidance, training, and motivation to ensure a cohesive and efficient workflow. - Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations. - Manage station organization, oversee kitchen cleanliness, and maintain proper food storage practices. - Work collaboratively with the Kitchen Manager and management team to implement new menu items and improve kitchen operations. - Assist with ordering and inventory management to reduce waste and control costs. - Handle any kitchen-related issues or challenges that arise during the night shift, ensuring smooth problem resolution. - Responsible for the closing routine and maintaining our quality of standards. - Conducts final walk-through of the kitchen every night to ensure all equipment is off and clean. - Responsible for making cuts to staff if we are ahead of schedule on the close. - Leads the line during services, demonstrating the ability to direct and coordinate efficiently. - Ensures fellow team members are following protocols. Required Skills & Experience: - Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Line Cook and two (2) as a Kitchen Supervisor in a high-volume restaurant setting. - Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team. - In-depth knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety regulations, and kitchen best practices. - Ability to work efficiently under pressure, managing multiple orders while maintaining high-quality standards. - Excellent organizational and time management skills. - Strong communication and teamwork abilities to foster a cooperative kitchen environment. - Familiarity with kitchen equipment and proficient use of kitchen tools. - Full availability for evening and night shifts, including weekends and holidays.
