Fabricator (Duncan)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Studies drawings, sketches, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine. - material requirements, dimensions, tolerances, and fabrication sequence. - Lays out, cuts, forms, fits, and assembles metal components using hand tools, - power tools, and fabrication equipment such as saws, presses, and welding equipment. - Performs welding operations using appropriate processes and procedures to produce structurally sound and high-quality assemblies. - Verifies conformance of fabricated parts and assemblies to specifications using measuring and inspection tools as required. - Performs routine maintenance on fabrication equipment and maintains a clean and organized work area according to maintenance plans and established procedures. - Confers with engineers, production personnel, or others to resolve fabrication or assembly issues. - Works well independently or in a team workplace. - Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management. - Ensures that safe work practices are followed and adhered to. Qualifications and Experience: - Red Seal / Interprovincial Certification is required - Welding certifications will be considered an asset - CWB - FCAW Qualification would be an asset - Ability to read and interpret fabrication and assembly drawings - Possesses excellent interpersonal skills - Can multitask and prioritize Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $46.11 per hour Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2ptior
