'Summary' 'We are seeking a dedicated Instrumentation & Control Engineer to join our team This role is vital in designing, developing, and maintaining control systems that power industrial prime movers, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.' 'Responsibilities' ' Design and develop control systems for industrial prime movers using industry-standard tools. - Conduct feasibility, design operation and performance research of electrical generation and distribution networks - Supervise technicians, technologists, programmers, analysts and other engineers - Prepare material cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications - Design electrical and electronic components, systems and equipment - Supervise and inspect the installation and operation of electrical and electronic systems and equipment - Develop maintenance and operating standards for electrical and electronic systems and equipment - Investigate electrical or electronic failures - Conduct micro or nanodevices simulations, characterization, process modelling and integration in the development of new electronic devices and products - Commission systems and components - Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test and analyse the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems - Read blueprints and drawings - Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators and other electro-mechanical equipment - Prepare engineering designs and drawings - Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot system issues effectively. - Create detailed schematics and electrical diagrams using AutoCAD, Revit, or MicroStation. - Implement system design improvements to enhance efficiency and safety. - Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams to integrate control solutions. - Support installation and commissioning activities on-site.' - Proven experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and firmware development. - Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and system design. - Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, or MicroStation. - Experience with Simulink, MATLAB, or similar simulation software. - Ability to perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting. - Mechanical knowledge is a plus. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Effective communication skills in a team environment.'
