Commissionaires – Northern Alberta Division is currently sourcing a pool of future candidates for employment at sites within the City of Edmonton. The current positions are considered “as required” which may lead to full time employment within our Division. In accordance with our mandate, applicants with service in the Canadian Armed Forces, the RCMP, or their dependants will be given preference, however, all qualified applicants will be considered. Applicants with open availability and no restrictions will be given priority consideration however all candidates will be considered. Shift times vary and could be 8, 10 or 12 hours in length depending on schedules and sites. Applicants may be started on the on-call list for work, which would be up to full time hours at a variety of different sites, then assigned permanent sites based on position availability and suitability. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Must have an Alberta Security License or be willing to obtain. - Capability to work any shift schedule. Shift times, rotation, and hours vary by site - Ability to handle a dynamic environment - Represent the Commissionaires with a high level of professionalism and customer service skills, as well as effective communication skills in dealing with clients, emergency personnel, and the public - Ability to work under pressure, and make sound decisions in emergency situations - Ability to carry out written and verbal instructions including writing comprehensive reports Essential Job Functions: - Writing detailed and accurate reports regarding all incidents - Providing a high degree of customer service in a dynamic and challenging environment - Ability to de-escalate situations that may arise and liaise with emergency personnel; provide support - Capability to complete patrols What’s in it for you: - Competitive pay - Possibility of a yearly bonus - Benefits package for full-time employees - Free training - Complete Uniforms provided at no cost We are an equal opportunity employer that values diversity.
