Production Associate (West Edmonton)

General Summary: to operate the flat bed printer, the roll to roll printer and plotter & perform quality control checks Details of Functions: - full-time position, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm - operate the flat bed printer, the digital roll to roll printer & the plotter - retrieve and issue materials essential to job completion - locate and prepare files for the print process - work with the following software: Onyx Rip, Summa GoSign & Adobe Illustrator - match details, sizes, colours and other variables to print file before starting the printing process - determine proper printer set-up and settings for each job - monitor print quality and accuracy during printing - facilitate efficient, quick changeover from job to job - produce timely and accurate information on job progress - inspect finished product for any flaws in the print or the material - label and organize printed products in accordance with department procedures - work effectively with the Signarama Edmonton team - read and follow job box instructions and requirements - ensure the equipment is well maintained - after a job is completed, check the completed signs against paperwork to ensure accuracy & quality - assist other Signarama Edmonton staff in any way necessary - advise manager when inks and other supplies need to be ordered - supply management with oral reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services. - maintain a professional appearance and demeanour. - keep abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends. - other duties as assigned Reporting: - reports directly to the General Manager Qualifications: - Proficient in Adobe Illustrator - must be able to stand for periods of time and lift 50 lb sheets of substrate - has an aptitude for problem-solving - is results-orientated - able to work both independently and within a team setting - is detail oriented - has outstanding personal organizational skills & time management skills - has the ability to prioritize, multi-task and solve problems without supervision Compensation: - to be discussed based on experience, etc Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.00-$24.00 per hour Benefits: - Dental care - Disability insurance - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Paid time off Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2nxqb0
