B Pressure Welder (Parsons Industrial)

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding expertise, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. This role involves performing various welding techniques, including MIG and TIG welding, to fabricate, repair, and assemble metal components for construction and other manufacturing projects. The Welder will play a vital part in ensuring the quality and safety of our products while adhering to industry standards and safety protocols. Responsibilities - Pressure and Non-Pressure Welding of a variety of materials (Stainless Steel, Exotic Alloys, Etc.) - Occasional participate in one-week-long special projects called “Kaizen Events” which includes small amount of overtime, physical exertion and presentations. - Maintain safe work practices - Possible Field Service tasks to support the WIKA Field Service Team at customer sites - Read, interpret and review drawings and design specifications - Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) - Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment - Conduct repairs, modifications and retrofits - Liaise with internal and external customers for resolution of designs and technical problems - Monitor parts usage and report on any material issues (including consumables) - Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects - Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance and repair techniques Requirements - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent - Grade B Pressure Welder Certificate of Competency - 3 years’ experience as a Journeyman Welder - Interprovincial Red Seal or CWB tickets - Valid welding certification, Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), certified in all positions - Ability to work independently in a busy environment - Experience with routine maintenance operations - Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment - Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing - Able to work well under pressure - Strong attention to detail - Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times - Computer literate Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: - Company events - Dental care - Disability insurance - Employee assistance program - Extended health care - Life insurance - In office gym - On-site parking - Paid time off - RRSP match - Tuition reimbursement - Wellness program Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2nxrut
