Internal candidates should verify status by logging in. Location This role is in-person at North Campus Edmonton. Term and Commencement 8‑month (Fall 2026; Winter 2027) and 12‑month (Fall 2026, Winter 2027, and Spring/Summer 2027) full‑time term positions to commence on September 1, 2026 with possible renewal. Responsibilities Teach six courses over an 8‑month period (or eight courses over a 12‑month period for 12‑month term). Preference for candidates able to teach methods, criminology, social theory, inequality, and or social problems. Qualifications A Ph.D. in Sociology or a related discipline at or near completion. Evidence of excellence in undergraduate teaching. Experience teaching in Sociology is an asset. Compensation Salary will be commensurate with experience in accordance with Schedule D of the Collective Agreement between the Board of Governors of the University of Alberta and the Association of the Academic Staff of the University of Alberta.
