Commercial Ironworkers Apprentice & Jman Edmonton

We are seeking skilled Ironworkers for a long-term commercial construction project in Edmonton. This role involves structural steel erection, reinforcement, and related tasks in a quick-paced workplace. Key Responsibilities: Assemble, erect, and install structural steel components, including beams, columns, and girders. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Operate rigging equipment, welding tools, and machinery safely. Perform reinforcing work with rebar and post-tensioning systems. Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines and safety standards are met. Adhere to all site safety protocols and contribute to a zero-incident workplace. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10-hour shifts (typically 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM). Plenty of overtime available, including weekends as needed for project demands. Requirements: Minimum 3rd year Ironworker Apprentice or Journeyman status with valid Red Seal or Alberta ticket. Mandatory certifications: Fall Protection, Aerial Lift Training (e.g., Scissor Lift/Boom Lift), and CSTS (Construction Safety Training System). Proven experience in commercial construction projects. Strong physical fitness, ability to work at heights, and in various weather conditions. Reliable transportation to Edmonton job sites. Commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Preferred Qualifications: Additional tickets such as WHMIS, Confined Space, or Rigging certification. Experience with ornamental or bridge work is a plus.
