Description: The Recreation Assistant plans, organizes and promotes a variety of meaningful recreation, leisure and social activities for clients, based on the clients' interests and abilities. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 41 Collective Agreement. Classification: Recreation Assistant Union: COV CUPE 41 Unit and Program: Recreation Therapy EGCCC Primary Location: Edmonton General EGCCC Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.72 Posting End Date: 28-MAY-2026 Employee Class: Regular Part Time Date Available: 16-JUN-2026 Hours per Shift: 7.00 Length of Shift in weeks: 4 Shifts per cycle: 16 Shift Pattern: Days, Weekends Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $22.49 Maximum Salary: $25.07 Vehicle Requirement: Driver's License, Vehicle Provided Required Qualifications: Required Qualifications: High School diploma or recognized equivalent required. Additional Required Qualifications: Must be eligible to obtain a valid Class 4 driver’s license and indicate details of this within the resume or cover letter. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications to support effective communication, documentation, and scheduling within the care workplace. Must have robust interpersonal and communication skills and an approach that is compassionate, patient, and respectful. Preferred Qualifications: Recreation Therapy Assistant Diploma is preferred.
