Accounting Technician Edmonton

We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Technician with a background in public practice who enjoys working with a variety of clients and takes pride in producing accurate and high-quality work. Key Responsibilities: Accounting Duties: · Preparation of T1 and T2 tax filings, working papers, and related documentation (if applicable) · Prepare complex compilation engagements · Prepare review engagements · Perform full-cycle bookkeeping for clients · Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations · Prepare and file GST and other compliance returns · Support with payroll processing and remittances · Prepare working papers and supporting schedules · Communicate with internal team members to ensure files are completed accurately and on time Qualifications: · Previous experience in a public accounting firm is mandatory · Strong experience preparing personal tax returns · Must have extensive experience with complex compilation engagements and review engagements. · Diploma or certificate in accounting, finance, or a related field · Proficiency with CaseWare, QBO, Sage, Taxprep · Strong Excel and MS Office skills · Excellent organizational and time management abilities · Strong interpersonal and communication skills · Ability to manage multiple tasks independently with attention to detail · Experience in a professional services or small office setting is an asset What We Offer: · Supportive and collaborative team environment · Market-competitive salary with opportunity for long-term growth within the firm · Alberta Blue Cross (available after probationary period) · Career development opportunities · Convenient Edmonton downtown location (parking is not included) Schedule: · Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) · Must work Saturdays in March and April · Every Friday off in July and August Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year Benefits: Dental care Extended health care Paid time off Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2ofimz
