We are searching for energetic and talented people to take on exciting challenges and contribute to our community. Our recreation leaders work in multiple positions across various locations and program formats ranging from weekly classes to day camps. In each program, you will have the opportunity to lead activities that help our community members learn new skills and make social connections. You will mainly work with adults and lead arts and crafts, fitness and wellness, performing arts, sports and outdoor adventure activities. You will design recreational programs, teach and lead individuals and groups while ensuring a healthy and safe environment. Working for us is a great way to turn your passion into a career. QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education: High school diploma
Current CPR and Basic First Aid Qualifications
A valid driver’s license (Alberta), an asset
High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development or High Five Sport (successful completion by end of probation)
High Five Healthy Minds for Healthy Children (successful completion by end of probation)
Experience working with adults
Experience programming activities for adults/military
Experience leading adults in activities
Experience ensuring safety protocols and procedures
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership (competencies)
English Essential / Bilingual (English and French) an asset
Reading: None
Writing: None
Oral: Functional

Perform moderate lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. more than 10 lbs/4.5 kg but less than 50 lbs/23 kg)
Successful candidate will be required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check
This is an on‑site position with an assigned work location
