Carpenter Apprentice - Civida Kaskitew Asisk (Edmonton)

Jardeg is currently recruiting for a Carpenter Apprentice to work with the Civida Kaskitew Asiski project team on one of the buildings project in Edmonton, AB! The schedule for this position is 5 days on 2 days off; Monday to Friday. At this time, candidates that are local to Edmonton area will be considered. As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will: - Build forms for concrete - Cut, shape, and join specialty materials per specifications - Look for and fix deficiencies - Check accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required - Study blueprints for work planning - Construct and forms chutes for pouring concrete - Assist with window installations - Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures * General site upkeep Requirements: - Preference will be given to Registered Carpenter Apprentices from a recognized provincial training authority - Non-registered carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade - Experience with concrete formwork required - Certifications: CSTS and WHMIS - Fall Protection considered an asset - Mobile Elevated Work Platform considered an asset - Commercial buildings experience considered a strong asset - Ability to work both independently and as part of a team - Must have reliable transportation to get to work - Must be legally entitled to work in Canada COME AND GET YOUR BOOTS DIRTY!
