Community Services Recreation Therapy Assistant, Edmonton

This temporary position of 37.5 hours per week involves working closely with a Recreation Therapist to develop program calendars and conduct Leisure Interest Surveys. You will be responsible for resident safety and well-being while managing logistics for large events. Key Responsibilities:• Design recreational programs reflecting client interests • Conduct surveys to inform programming decisions • Prioritize the safety of residents at all times • Assist Recreation Therapist in planning outreach activities • Record participation metrics and complete monthly reporting

Requirements:• Diploma or certificate in recreation/leisure studies or health-related field • First Aid&CPR Level C certification required• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the human services sector • Familiarity with mental health concepts is beneficial • Clean criminal record check is mandatory
