Responsibilities What will you be doing? - Team Leadership: Manage a crew of Millwrights and other trades, ensuring full compliance with safety codes and high-performance standards. - Reliability Management: Take ownership of mechanical equipment uptime, identifying root causes of failures and implementing long-term corrective actions. - Shutdown Execution: Lead scheduled shutdowns and manage daily down-day plans to minimize production interruptions. - System Development: Build and refine area maintenance procedures, PM programs, and condition-based maintenance protocols. - Safety Mentorship: Enforce ''zero-harm'' practices and mentor the team on protected work procedures in a high-pressure environment. - Performance Management: Oversee employee attendance, performance reviews, and training requirements. Qualifications What are we looking for in a candidate? - Education: Journeyperson Millwright Certification OR a post-secondary degree with a Mechanical Engineering focus. - Leadership Experience: Minimum 35 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within an industrial setting. - Technical Proficiency: Strong experience working with a CMMS for work order management and asset tracking. - Core Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to organize priorities and meet tight deadlines under pressure. - Requirements: Ability to pass a zero-tolerance drug and alcohol test and a criminal background check.
