Social Media & Digital Coordinator - RQ Duration: 1-year contract Location: Remote Pay: $40.00/hr - $45.00/hr Summary Our professional services client is seeking a creative, organized, and culturally aware Social Media & Digital Content Coordinator to support theirndigital presence across multiple platforms. This contract role will focus on planning, creating, and managing social media content to support indigenous community engagement activities on a large high-profile assignment. This position is well suited to someone who is comfortable working independently, understands how different platforms reach different indigenous audiences, and is passionate about meaningful, indigenous community-driven communications. Role Deliverables Plan, create, schedule, and publish content across Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Snapchat, X (formerly Twitter) and You Tube Monitor engagement, respond to comments and messages as appropriate, and flag issues or opportunities Support website updates, including posting content, refreshing pages, and ensuring accuracy and consistency Collaborate with internal teams to align social media content with broader communications goals Adapt content for different audiences and platforms, including short-form video and visual storytelling Track basic performance metrics and provide insights on what content is resonating Ensure content is culturally respectful, inclusive, and aligned with organizational values and guidelines Must-have requirements Proven experience managing social media accounts for organizations, communities, or campaigns Strong working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Snapchat, You Tube and X Experience updating websites using a content management system (CMS) Graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) Preferred Experience We strongly encourage applications from Indigenous candidates (First Nations, Inuit, and Mtis). Experience working with Indigenous communities, organizations, or Indigenous-focused social media channels is highly valued. Lived experience, cultural knowledge, and community connection are recognized as significant strengths for this role.
