Apprentice Plumber (Edmonton)

ATCO Frontec is seeking a 1st - 4th Year Apprentice Plumber to join our ATCO Facilities Solutions team in Edmonton AB, working on a project with several properties across the Edmonton area. The Apprentice Plumber is responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, modifications, and installation/dismantling of plumbing systems. The successful candidate must be willing to work after hours and on weekends as required. Tools, uniforms, PPE, work cellphone, and a company vehicle will be provided for work duties. Responsibilities - Conduct timely inspections, testing, and accurate reporting of equipment defects and deficiencies - Replace toilets, bathroom and kitchen sinks, and bathtubs - Utilize power auger for toilet, bathtub, and main lines - Trouble shooting boiler systems - Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded - Guaranteeing all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes, as well as environmental protection requirements - Rotating on call shifts are required Qualifications - Registered Plumber Apprenticeship is required and must be currently active - Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required - Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol Test, Fit-to-Work Test, and Extensive Background Check. - Must be able to obtain Government Security Clearance. - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Able to read drawings and blueprints - Ability to build and work in a team workplace is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety - Experience in commercial construction an asset - Experience in service plumbing an asset We would like to thank everyone for their application; however, only those being considered for an interview will be contacted.
