Catholic Social Service's is currently looking for a 1:1 Match Community Companion Volunteer who enjoys being active in the community and can provide positive encouragement for a female individual living with disabilities.The ideal candidate for thisvolunteeropportunity would be over 18 years of age, and who would be available tovolunteer1-2 hours on Tuesday or Thursday afternoons or evenings, between 1:00 and 4:30 pm, or 5:00pm and 8:00 pm. If you are someone who enjoys connecting with others, then this volunteer placement might be the right fit for you!What you can expect: Create and establish a respectful connection with individuals living with disabilities Meet the client in the community and the group home Have fun! Desired Skills/Abilities: Respectful and Patient Good interpersonal skills is an asset Access to diverse training Skill basedvolunteering which allowsvolunteers to develop their talentsCreating new relationships by increasing social connections Ability to make recommendations for program development Quality supervision and support Meaningful recognition Reference letters upon completion of 25 hours or more ** Commitment is 6 months or more for thisvolunteerplacement.
