Enhance the lives of residents at Lewis Estate in Edmonton, Alberta, by joining Optima Living as a Recreation Assistant. This role is central to developing engaging programs that promote overall wellness.
In your role as a Recreation Assistant, you will work under the Recreation Manager to implement person-centered activities tailored to meet the residents’ emotional, social, and physical needs. Strong collaboration skills and creativity in executing programs are essential components of this position.
Key Responsibilities:• Design and implement comprehensive recreation programs • Monitor resident progress and recommend suitable activities • Collaborate on assessments to define meaningful goals • Document resident changes and assist with reports • Help organize and support special events as needed
Requirements:• Completion of a recognized recreation program is an asset • One year of experience in a similar environment • Active CPR and First Aid certifications required • Proven ability to communicate effectively with residents • Flexibility in working various shifts
