Job Overview As a Lead Wellhead Technician - International Service, you will serve as Stream-Flo's senior field representative on international wellhead service assignments, ensuring safe, compliant, and technically sound execution across all phases of deployment. You must hold a current driver's license, passport, and be able to travel internationally without travel restrictions.

Key Position Functions

Serve as a senior technical and leadership presence for our international clients. Between assignments, this role is based at our Edmonton head office, contributing to shop operations, training, and service readiness.

Assemble, pressure test, commission, and repair wellhead equipment (2,000–15,000 PSI), including X‑trees, gate valves, chokes, and associated surface equipment.

Perform wellhead installation and removal on drilling rigs, workover rigs, coil tubing, and frac operations.

Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues in the field; carry out valve repair, lubrication, and wellhead upgrades.

Work effectively both independently and as part of a multi‑disciplinary on‑site team.

Train and mentor customers and fellow Field Service Technicians on equipment operation, installation procedures, and safe work practices.

Prepare accurate Field Service Reports, job summaries, and all other required documentation before demobilization.

Maintain professional client relationships and act as the primary Stream-Flo representative on‑site.

Comply with all pre‑deployment requirements, including travel documentation, medical fitness screening, and mandatory training certifications.

Comply with all applicable HSE, quality, and corporate policy requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned by the International Service Manager.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of wellhead service experience at a lead or senior level.

International field service experience is strongly preferred.

Expert knowledge of wellhead products (2K–15K PSI), choke valves, and ESD valve systems.

Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel); experience using Teams, WhatsApp.

Demonstrated ability to work independently in remote, high‑risk, and multicultural environments.

Strong written and verbal communication skills; capable of producing accurate, complete technical documentation.

Valid passport with capacity for multi‑entry travel; willingness to travel internationally on short notice.

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Current medical fitness clearance for international and high‑risk location deployment (or ability to obtain).

100% compliance with training and all company‑mandated certifications.

Safety&Compliance Applicants must participate in an alcohol and drug test and show compliance with Stream-Flo’s Alcohol and Drug Policy before being considered eligible for hire.
