The Social Worker of Adeara’s Recovery Support Program is responsible for providing individualized support to women navigating addiction, recovery, and community reintegration. This role offers connection, practical guidance, and recovery‑oriented support to clients transitioning from a structured residential program intoindependent living.The Social Worker works closely with the Recovery Support Lead to promote stability, connect clients to addiction‑recovery resources, and support long‑term sustainable recovery. The Social Worker will follow a professional code of conduct and will uphold accreditation standards as well as policies and procedures for the recovery program. The Social Worker will be committed to working in a collaborative environment to provide excellence in care. The Social Worker will work in agreement with the Mission, Vision, and Value Statements, policies, and Philosophy of Care of Adeara.Overview

Adeara Recovery Centre is a long-term, residential recovery program for women. We help women in addiction create lasting change through our accredited, faith-based program. As a Christian organization we are guided by the love of Christ from the day-to-day operations to the programming we deliver, to the women and their children we serve. We are passionate about providing a clinically sound and faith-based recovery program and ministering to the whole person through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our approach and actions are rooted in biblical principles, our ultimate source of truth and guidance. We believe the recovery journey is a lifelong process, and while the journey begins at Adeara, it does not end upon the completion of the one-year program– we continue to walk with women beyond the scope of the residential program as they continue to pursue a life of recovery.Key Accountabilities

Build safe, trusting relationships with clients using a trauma informed lens to meet the needs of each client. Support clients with individualized care plans from a Bio-psycho-social-spiritual perspective, providing holistic care Collaboration and communication with the Recovery Support Team and in supporting clients in the program.Individual Responsibilities

Build trusting, supportive relationships that support clients in active addiction, sobriety, and long-term recovery. Collaborate on the development of individualized client care plans through the use of My Recovery Plan. Support clients in building practical daily‑living skills and healthy routines, while holding clients accountable to individualized goalsEnsure all documentation is recorded in a clear professional, timely and factual manner. Collaborate with Recovery Support Team regarding client care and ongoing program development. Consult and collaborate with community partners to meet client needs. Assist in facilitating groups and activities that promote healing, empowerment, and community connection.Inform Recovery Support Lead, as soon as possible, of any scenarios that might present at risk situations. Assist clients with spiritual development through prayer and spiritual support as needed. Qualifications

Has a diploma or degree in Social Work (proof of certification is required). Active registration in good standing with the Alberta College of Social Workers. Minimum 1 year of experience working with vulnerable or marginalized populations Has experience and in-depth knowledge regarding addiction, trauma, and mental health.Strong communication skills and experience working within a multidisciplinary team. Ability to engage respectfully and compassionately with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Conflict‑resolution skills and ability to respond calmly to crises Able to drive with Class 5 licence Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector SearchIntervention Record Check Valid First Aid&CPR C– within the first 3 months of hire Please include a cover letter to be considered for the position.
