Postdoctoral Researcher - Animal Nutrition, Edmonton

Pursue cutting-edge research as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Animal Nutrition at the University of Alberta. Work alongside Dr. Ruurd Zijlstra to advance knowledge in swine dietary needs and feedstuff development.

In this full-time role within the Department of Agricultural, Food and Nutritional Science, you will conduct independent studies and analyze key research data. Your responsibilities include preparing scientific reports and presentations, while also mentoring students in practical lab skills. You will collaborate effectively with colleagues and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities:• Perform qualitative and statistical analyses of research data • Execute experiments and troubleshoot as needed • Prepare research reports and abstracts for PI review • Present findings at academic and industry events • Provide guidance to summer and graduate students

Requirements:• PhD in Animal Nutrition, Animal Science, or similar • Experience with animal care and handling • Willingness to work directly with pigs • Strong problem-solving and communication skills • Ability to work autonomously as well as in teams
