General construction supervisor (Edmonton)

Job details Location: Edmonton, AB T6W 2B9 Salary: 40.50 hourly / 30 to 35 hours per week Terms of employment: Permanent, Full time Start date: As soon as possible Education College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years Experience 2 years to less than 3 years Work must be completed at the physical location. No option to work remotely. Responsibilities Recommend measures to improve productivity Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality Estimate costs and materials Operate CADD and other computer software systems Prepare production and other reports Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions Co-ordinate and schedule activities Co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers Ensure health and safety regulations are followed Establish methods to meet work schedules Read blueprints and drawings Recommend personnel actions Requisition materials and supplies Supervise workers and projects Train or arrange for training Utilize hand and power tools Install exterior and interior steel studs Follow emergency and safety procedures Equipment and machinery experience Hand tools Type of industry experience Construction Transportation/travel information Own transportation Willing to travel regularly Work conditions and physical capabilities Handling heavy loads Bending, crouching, kneeling Own tools/equipment Safety glasses/goggles Steel-toed safety boots Tools Safety equipment/gear Safety vest Personal suitability Organized Reliability Team player Who can apply for this job?
