We are seeking a full time, permanent Electrical Project Engineer to join our Edmonton, AB team. This opportunity is ideal for a licensed P.Eng. with 7+ years of Canadian utility transmission and/or distribution design experience. In this role, you will lead distribution engineering projects, review and seal designs, mentor junior engineers, and support critical utility infrastructure projects across Canada. Responsibilities As Project Engineer, you will oversee the design and delivery of complex overhead and underground distribution projects while ensuring compliance with codes, safety standards, and client requirements. Key responsibilities include - Leading and mentoring engineers and technologists - Managing project schedules, priorities, and quality expectations - Reviewing, authenticating, and sealing IFC drawings - Performing load-flow, voltage drop, and short-circuit studies - Supporting multidisciplinary design reviews and client coordination Technical Experience Extensive experience in overhead and underground distribution systems up to 25kV, including: - Primary line rebuilds and voltage conversions - Transformer replacements and secondary load splitting - Facility revamps and lifecycle asset replacements - Customer service applications and relocations Calculations & Software Experience performing - Wire sag, tension, and clearance calculations - Pole loading, guying, and anchor analysis - Transformer sizing and voltage drop calculations Software: MicroStation, PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, SPIDAcalc, Quick Pole, Sag10 Compensation and Benefits Salary dependent on level of skills and experience Please note that we will only contact shortlisted candidates.
