Contract General Repair, Maintenance (Edmonton)

Work can be done any time of day that suits you. About the Role We operate a group of Anytime Fitness clubs & Coffee shops across the Edmonton area and we are looking for a reliable, all-around handyman to handle small maintenance jobs across our locations on a casual, as-needed basis. This is not a full-time position. Volume varies week to week, but if you do good work we will keep coming back to you. Work time of day does not matter. Most of our clubs are 24-hour facilities, so you can schedule jobs around your other commitments, including evenings and weekends if that works better for you. Typical Jobs This is the kind of work we need help with on an ongoing basis: - Changing and repairing door hardware (handles, closers, latches, deadbolts). - Drywall patching, sanding, and painting. - Anchoring shelves, mirrors, signage, and equipment into drywall, concrete, and metal stud. - Moving items and equipment between locations. - Hanging signage, artwork, and wall fixtures. - Light fixture swaps, switch and outlet plate replacement. - General touch-ups, minor repairs, and small "honey-do" items that come up across the clubs. This is not heavy trade work. We have dedicated trades for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural jobs. We need someone for the in-between work that takes up too much of our managers' time. What We Are Looking For - A pickup truck or van. This is a major asset and will get you preference. Most jobs involve hauling supplies, tools, or moving items between clubs. - Your own hand tools and power tools. We are not supplying tools. - Solid drywall, painting, and basic maintenance skills. - Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision. We will give you the address, the scope, and a key or code, and trust you to get it done. - Reliable, responsive, and able to communicate clearly by text or email. - Valid Alberta driver's licence and reliable transportation.
