SHIFT SCHEDULE : Mon-Fri: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM RATE: $27.00/HR TRUCK DRIVER: The Truck Driver ensures timely delivery of all scheduled orders in a safe and efficient manner. They will also complete vendor pickups and second run deliveries as assigned. The position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills; planning, organization and multi-tasking ability; as well as attention to detail. PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES: - Responsible for delivery of customer orders - Responsible for receiving, loading and unloading trailers, picking orders, restocking product and shipping with the use of a hand and mechanical trucks - Ensures customer orders are completed - Maintains regular communication with customers/sales staff regarding service/delivery matters - Reports any damage to equipment or shipments - Courteous to customers at all times - Maintains a safe driving record - Maintains truck to be safe and in valuable working order - Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE: - Minimum 10 years of driving experience in the warehousing or distribution sector - Minimum 1 year of driving experience at or above the license classification for this position (including air brake endorsement) - Valid DZ Drivers license (or equivalent within province) - Clean personal & commercial driver abstracts are required - Consistently be able to lift 50lbs - Previous forklift and pipe yard experience is preferred - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Self motivated and work well in a team environment - Ability to effectively handle multiple conflicting priorities - Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet time sensitive orders - Industry experience and/or product knowledge is an asset - Attention to detail required - Valid forklift license is an asset This position is located in Canada.
