Job Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Event Host to create memorable experiences for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in engaging with diverse audiences, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining a lively and welcoming atmosphere. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be the face of our events, showcasing excellent hospitality and customer service skills while managing various event activities. Responsibilities - Welcome guests warmly and assist with check-in procedures - Engage with attendees through public speaking and interactive activities - Coordinate event activities, games, or entertainment to ensure smooth flow - Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and needs - Arrive at the venue 45 minutes before doors open for setup and preparation - Guide attendees through all speed date rounds using the Aligned host controls - Keep the energy high and the atmosphere warm between rounds - Complete and submit your post-event report within 24 hours of the event - Promote your assigned events on your personal social media and through community outreach Experience - Proven customer service experience in hospitality or guest services roles - Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills - Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings if needed - Warm, outgoing, and confident presence; you enjoy being in front of a group - Strong verbal communication skills, clear, engaging, and professional - Self-motivated and reliable, you follow through on your commitments - Comfortable using a smartphone app during a live event - Enthusiastic about community building and helping people connect - Ability to work independently without supervision on event nights - Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a post-secondary program (preferred but not required) This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy interacting with people, creating enjoyable experiences, and working in a dynamic environment.
