Childcare Educator - Level 2 & 3 (Southwest Edmonton)

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Provider to support the development and well-being of children in our care. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess relevant experience in early childhood education or caregiving settings. Duties - Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development - Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, adhering to safety protocols - Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and hygiene practices - Plan and implement educational activities that foster social, emotional, and cognitive growth - Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and daily experiences - Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play - Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care as needed - Foster positive behavior through encouragement, guidance, and conflict resolution techniques Experience - Prior classroom experience working with children is highly desirable - Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus - Background in teaching or early childhood education is beneficial - Demonstrated ability to care for children in a nurturing and responsible manner - Strong communication skills and patience are essential for success in this role This position is vital in supporting children's growth and ensuring their safety while providing a rewarding experience for both children and caregivers.
