Responsibilities Perform skilled grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and de-matting for dogs of all breeds and sizes Assess each dog’s coat condition and skin health to recommend appropriate grooming treatments Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety for both pet and groomer Maintain a clean, organized grooming station and sanitize tools regularly to uphold hygiene standards Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming needs, special instructions, and aftercare advice Assist with pet handling tasks such as dog training, veterinary procedures, or animal restraint when needed Support team members with pet sitting or kennel duties during busy periods to ensure excellent animal care Skills Proven experience in pet grooming with a focus on dogs; certification is a plus Robust knowledge of dog handling techniques and animal restraint methods Familiarity with veterinary experience or veterinary technician/assistant background enhances your ability to identify health issues during grooming Ability to perform pet care tasks such as pet sitting, heavy lifting of animals or supplies, and general animal handling skills Excellent customer service skills to build trust with pet owners and address their concerns confidently Knowledge of animal care practices including kennel experience, pet grooming standards, and basic veterinary procedures Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workplace while maintaining attention to detail and compassion for animals Join us in creating a positive grooming experience that pets love!
