Job Description: Perform chemical and sensory analysis of flavours and fragrances, ingredients and market products using approved methodologies (e.g., GC-MS).
Establish suitable and effective analytical methods and build analytical spectral libraries, completing the validation and expansion of relevant detection methods.
Develop the laboratory methodology for the GC and GCMS with regards to the extraction and separation.
Partner with flavourists and R&D team to develop market-ready solutions.
Participate in testing and evaluation panels.
Use and maintain the GC-MS system, including replacement of parts and troubleshooting.
Work with quality team to investigate non-conformance issues.
Maintain accurate records of test results in accordance with company documentation standards.
Manage and maintain analytical laboratory in accordance with company guidelines and safety protocols.
Ensure all analysis adhere to relevant regulations and company policies.
Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements: Possess a Degree in Chemistry, Food Science or related.
At least 4 years of relevant experience.
Positive knowledge of flavour and fragrance chemistry and aroma ingredients.
Strong understanding of method development and validation protocols.
Analytical mindset with good interpersonal and communication skills.
