Description

Canadian Executive Search is currently seeking licensed Skilled Trades professionals, including Industrial Electricians and Millwrights, to join their maintenance team in a direct hire position offering full benefits from day one.

These roles play a critical part in supporting safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment and systems. Shift: Days for 2026, Continental Schedule starting 2027.

Wage: $44.00/hr

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, drives, and automated control systems (Electricians)
  • Install, align, dismantle, and relocate equipment such as conveyors, pumps, and gearboxes (Millwrights)
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment as required
  • Support continuous improvement and equipment optimization initiatives
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to support operations
  • Follow all health & safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and confined space protocols

Requirements

  • Valid Ontario trade certification:
  • Industrial Electrician (442A and/or 309A), OR
  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) 433A Red Seal
  • 2–4+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Solid understanding of industrial systems (mechanical and/or electrical depending on trade)
  • Knowledge of PLCs and automation systems (preferred for Electricians)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Assets (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with automated manufacturing or packaging equipment
  • Experience with heavy chain conveyors (Millwrights)
  • High-voltage or power distribution experience (Electricians)
  • Knowledge of CMMS systems
  • Certifications: Forklift, Crane/Rigging, WHMIS, Working at Heights, Confined Space, First Aid/CPR
  • Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), or RCM experience
  • Familiarity with predictive maintenance or vibration analysis
  • Gas Technician 1 (G.1) certification

Working Conditions

  • Manufacturing/industrial environment with exposure to noise, dust, and moving equipment
  • Physically active role (standing, lifting, climbing, confined space work)
  • Shift work, overtime, and on-call may be required
