Role Overview
This role supports rotating‐equipment scope within capital projects. The focus is on QA/QC, commissioning, maintenance integration, and CMMS updates. You will manage rotating‐equipment deliverables, verify installation quality, and ensure maintenance readiness throughout project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Rotating Equipment Assurance
- Review rotating‐equipment deliverables for accuracy and compliance
- Support QA/QC activities and witness hold points
- Provide maintenance sign‐off for project acceptance
- Participate in vendor shop witnessing when required
Maintenance Integration
- Update CMMS (GSAP, SAP Blueprint) with PMs, BOMs, and task lists
- Define spare‐parts stocking strategies
- Manage post‐commissioning spare parts into warehouse
- Review RCM outputs and implement PM strategies
Commissioning & Start‐Up
- Support commissioning and start‐up activities for rotating equipment
- Review and validate commissioning procedures
- Ensure maintenance readiness for handover
Project Support
- Provide input into Minimum Technical Solution (SELECT phase)
- Support scope optimization (DEFINE phase)
- Track rotating‐equipment deliverables and information flow
Reliability & Continuous Improvement
- Support craft competency training
- Contribute to bad‐actor programs and PM program improvements
- Participate in incident investigations and root‐cause analysis
Stakeholder Alignment
- Work closely with maintenance, operations, engineering, and project teams
- Manage shifting priorities and deliver multiple commitments on schedule
Required Background / Experience
- 10+ years as a Mechanical Technologist or Red Seal Millwright
- Strong rotating‐equipment knowledge (installation, alignment, seals, troubleshooting)
- Experience writing/reviewing commissioning procedures
- Knowledge of API 686 principles (formal course not required)
- Strong GSAP and SAP Blueprint capability
- Experience with rotating‐equipment assurance and QA/QC processes
- Strong diagnostic and problem‐solving skills
- Proven stakeholder engagement across maintenance, operations, engineering, and projects
