Become part of the Human Dimensions Research Lab at the University of Alberta as a Research Associate. This hybrid role involves original research on human-wildlife interactions and mentorship. This position integrates into the Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation, starting June 27, 2026. The Research Associate will explore social correlates of grassland conservation and assess risk perceptions regarding wildlife diseases. You will collaborate closely with the Principal Investigator and guide graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in complex modeling techniques. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct original research on wildlife disease perceptions - Identify social factors influencing grassland conservation - Mentor students in advanced analytical methods - Collaborate with government and nonprofit partners - Co-lead initiatives on human-wildlife interfaces Requirements: - Experience in social-psychological modeling - Proficiency in multivariate analysis techniques - Background in conservation or environmental research - Excellent collaboration skills with stakeholders - Ability to work in a hybrid setting Contribute to vital research and mentorship in environmental conservation at the University of Alberta.
