Marketing Contractor - Fuzion Donuts + BakeIQ (Edmonton)

Fuzion Donuts is looking for a hands-on marketing contractor to help us build a consistent marketing engine across two connected brands: - Fuzion Donuts, a premium Edmonton donut bakery with multiple retail locations and a growing local customer base. - BakeIQ, a new software product built from the real operational problems we have faced running Fuzion, designed for small bakeries. This is not a strategy-only role. We need someone who can show up, capture real content, turn it into posts, posters, promotions, and campaigns, and help us stay consistent. The right person will be comfortable filming short-form video, writing captions, planning campaigns, editing simple content, designing basic store posters/promotional material, and spotting stories inside a real operating business. One week might involve filming donut production, creating a poster for a recent flavour launch, building a catering promo, or capturing behind-the-scenes store content. Another week might involve helping turn the founder's bakery experience into BakeIQ content for small bakery owners. We are looking for someone practical, creative, reliable, and current on modern marketing channels. You do not need to be a big agency. In fact, this is probably a better fit for a hungry freelancer, creator, marketer, or early-career operator who wants real responsibility and room to grow. Responsibilities: - Capture photo and video content at Fuzion Donuts stores and production. - Create and schedule short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other relevant channels. - Write captions, simple campaign copy, and basic email/social promotional content. - Create simple store posters, promo graphics, and in-store marketing materials. - Build content around products, holidays, catering, corporate gifting, store launches, events, farmers markets, and local partnerships. - Help create founder-led BakeIQ content aimed at small bakery owners. - Repurpose content across channels instead of starting from scratch every time. - Bring weekly content ideas and campaign suggestions. - Track basic performance and report what is working. - Work with limited direction and turn real business activity into useful marketing assets. What We Are Looking For: - Examples of social content, campaigns, videos, accounts, or marketing work you have created. - Strong judgment for what feels authentic, premium, and not overly corporate. - Comfortable filming and editing short-form video. - Comfortable creating simple posters/promotional graphics in tools like Canva, Adobe Express, or similar. - Able to write clearly and naturally. - Reliable enough to own a weekly content rhythm. - Interested in local food, small business, hospitality, bakeries, startups, or software. - Comfortable using AI tools for research, drafting, editing, and repurposing content. - Willing to work in person in Edmonton for content capture. Strong Fit If You: - Have grown a social account, small business, creator page, event, newsletter, or client campaign. - Know how to make content that gets attention without cheapening the brand. - Can take a rough idea and turn it into a posted piece of content. - Think in terms of sales, store visits, catering leads, demo bookings, and learning, not just likes. - Like the idea of helping grow both a real local bakery and a software product for bakeries.
