The Position APX Services is seeking a motivated, reliable, and safety-focused Senior Crew Lead to support daily field operations and assist the divisional Supervisor with operational and administrative tasks. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Qualifications · Assist the divisional Supervisor with daily operational and administrative tasks. · Supervise and support field crews to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to established standards. · Assist crews in the field as required, including pulling hose, setting up signage, directing traffic around hazards, and supporting daily operational activities. · Support and oversee seasonal operations, including water truck operations, snow removal, and site maintenance activities. · Conduct daily tailgate meetings and review site-specific hazards and operational expectations with crews. · Monitor crew productivity, work quality, and compliance with company policies and procedures. · Communicate effectively with Supervisors, City representatives, dispatch, and Crew members to ensure smooth operations and adherence to schedules. · Conduct and document daily inspections, hazard assessments, and operational reports. · Complete daily reporting and documentation using Microsoft Word and Excel. · Ensure proper timekeeping, scheduling compliance, and attendance practices are followed. · Understand and implement Emergency Response Plan (ERP) procedures when required. · Maintain required certifications, including WHMIS, First Aid, and load securement training. Competencies · Previous experience in a leadership or crew lead role within field operations, landscaping, municipal services, snow removal, construction, or related industries preferred. · A valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s license NOT a GDL condition is required. · Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. · Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions. · Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform simple equipment repairs and maintenance. · Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel for reporting and documentation. · Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and hazard assessments. · Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract preferred. · WHMIS and First Aid certifications considered an asset. Working Conditions This position requires physically demanding work in all types of working and weather conditions in winter and summer seasons.
