Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and reliable Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate must have robust experience in HVAC systems and hold a valid pool operator certification/ticket. This position is responsible for maintaining the overall condition of the hotel, ensuring guest comfort and safety, and maintaining the hotel pool and mechanical systems to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities General Maintenance Duties - Perform daily inspections and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel property. - Troubleshoot and repair maintenance issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, drywall, painting, doors, locks, lighting, and general building repairs. - Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and hotel departments. - Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently. - Maintain maintenance logs and complete work orders accurately. HVAC Responsibilities - Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and equipment. - Monitor heating and cooling systems to ensure proper operation throughout the hotel. - Coordinate with external contractors when major HVAC repairs are required. - Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC units to reduce downtime and improve efficiency. Pool Maintenance Responsibilities - Must hold a valid Pool Operator Certificate/Ticket. - Perform daily pool and hot tub testing, including chemical and water quality readings. - Maintain accurate records of daily pool chemical readings and maintenance logs. - Add and monitor pool chemicals to maintain proper balance and safety standards. - Collect and send water samples as required by health regulations. - Ensure pool equipment is functioning properly and report any concerns immediately. - Maintain pool cleanliness and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. Qualifications - Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred. - Strong HVAC experience is required. - Valid Pool Operator Certification/Ticket is required. - Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance. - Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently. - Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings if required. Requirements - Reliable transportation. - Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment. - Strong communication and teamwork skills. - Commitment to workplace safety and guest satisfaction. Schedule - Schedule: Full-Time - Weekend and holiday availability may be required.
