Description
Warehouse Associate (Electrical Equipment) Since 2001, IRT Integrated Rectifier Technologies Inc. has manufactured make-to-order electrical power supplies utilized in the Cathodic Protection industry internationally. We are a small team-oriented company of approximately 45 staff currently and pride ourselves on providing innovative solutions and quality products to protect industry assets and the world setting. We are located in northwest Edmonton and are seeking a performance driven person with strong attention to detail to join our team. The successful candidate, reporting to the Materials/Logistics Manager, will assist with various functions including materials receiving, verification, storage, parts picking, preparation, order packaging, shipping, and inventory control. Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to): - Unload materials delivered to IRT - Verify incoming materials for correct count, material type and quality - Transfer incoming material to the appropriate inventory storage location - Pick and prepare materials to fulfill internal or external customer requirements - Package products and materials for transport - Load finished orders onto a truck or into a shipping container - Carry out maintenance of equipment in work areas (as required) - Ensure work area is kept in a clean and organized state - Assist in other areas/departments as required Qualifications: - General warehouse experience material handling, hand tool use, and mechanical assembly. - Certified in Forklift operation. - Fluent verbal and written communication in English is essential - Preferably proficient in the use of standard office equipment (i.e.computer, printer, photocopier, etc.) and MS office (Excel and Word) - Experience with inventory control would be an asset, but not required Work Conditions/Environment: - Permanent, full time, hourly position - Working hours of 7:30 am to 4:00 pm (Monday to Friday) (40-hour work week with some overtime as required to meet customer needs) - Manufacturing and warehouse environment - Must have CSA approved steel toe safety footwear - Preferably own vehicle for transportation, however public transportation is available If you have prior experience in an electrical product manufacturing environment, this is an opportunity for you.
