Overview We are seeking a skilled Experienced Automotive Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to vehicles, ensuring a professional appearance and durability. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of automotive painting techniques, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior dealership experience and mechanical knowledge are highly valued, along with proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. The Automotive Painter plays a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for excellence in vehicle repair and refinishing. Responsibilities Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and cleaning to ensure proper paint adhesion Apply primer, base coat, and explicit coat using spray guns or other painting equipment Match paint colors accurately using color matching tools and techniques Inspect finished work for quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency Follow all safety protocols related to chemical handling and spray painting procedures Assist with minor repairs or touch-ups as needed, utilizing various hand tools and power tools Requirements Proven dealership experience or automotive painting background preferred Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and repair processes is advantageous Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and spray painting equipment Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (up to 50 pounds) Experience with automotive repair or refinishing is highly desirable Robust attention to detail with an eye for color matching and finish quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Prior mechanic experience is a plus but not required Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour Advantages: Life insurance On-site parking Store discount Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pgfu6
