Overview We are seeking a dedicated Food Preparation Worker to join our agile food service team. This role involves preparing ingredients, assisting with food assembly, and ensuring a clean and efficient kitchen workplace. Ideal candidates will have a passion for food industry standards, excellent time management skills, and a commitment to food safety and sanitation. Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients according to recipes and quality standards, including chopping, slicing, and portioning Assist in assembling menu items efficiently while maintaining presentation standards Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations in compliance with food safety regulations Manage time effectively to ensure timely food preparation during busy hours Support serving staff with timely delivery of orders when needed Uphold high standards of food handling safety and sanitation practices at all times Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages Engage with customers professionally, providing friendly service when interacting directly during meal pickups or inquiries Experience Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable Familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS or similar platforms is a plus Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation procedures is preferred Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours Basic math skills for cash handling, measuring ingredients, and order accuracy Experience in cashiering, serving, or upselling menu items is advantageous Demonstrated ability to work well within a team in a quick-paced setting Customer service experience that emphasizes professionalism and attentiveness This role provides an excellent chance for individuals interested in the food industry to gain hands-on experience while contributing to a positive dining environment.
