Role Description The Social Media Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Edmonton, AB. This role is responsible for planning, creating, and publishing content across social media platforms to build brand awareness, drive engagement, and support lead generation. Day-to-day tasks include developing and executing social media content calendars, writing and scheduling posts, optimizing content for each platform, and monitoring community interactions. The Social Media Manager will track performance metrics, prepare reports, and adjust strategies based on data and evolving trends. Collaboration with design, development, and client-facing teams is essential to ensure social messaging aligns with broader marketing initiatives and client goals. Qualifications - Strong social media marketing and social media optimization (SMO) skills, with experience managing brand accounts across major platforms. - Excellent written communication and writing abilities, with a focus on clear, concise, and engaging social content. - Experience developing and executing content strategy tailored to specific audiences and platforms. - Ability to analyze social media metrics, interpret data, and use insights to refine campaigns and content. - Familiarity with social media management and scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Meta Business Suite or similar). - Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines in an on-site environment. - Comfort collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating ideas clearly to colleagues and clients. - Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Experience in website, digital, or agency environments is an asset; understanding of basic web and SEO principles is beneficial.
