What you will do

Plan delivery routes to maximize efficiency and reduce costs according to resources available. Consolidate regular shipments to maintain efficiency. Determine appropriate method of transportation required according to budgets and policies. On a daily basis, arrange shipping schedules according to the immediate needs of customers and branches.Assist with shipping. Collect freight quotes for special shipments. Investigate damage or breakage to the material during transport. Maintain a daily log of material shipped. Compile shipping documentation. Notify appropriate individuals of any discrepancies or adjustments needed to the routes.Prepare reports on commitment levels. Be responsible for upgrading photo PODs. What you will bring

Previous dispatching experience required. AS400/Syntax is an asset. Knowledge of industry (Plumbing and/or HVAC) products is an asset. General basic computer skills including Microsoft Office is required. Exceptional customer service and communication skills. Must be dependable and reliable and willing to take initiative.Must be organized, clean and able to multi-task. This position requires the result of a satisfactory criminal record check. A record under the Criminal Code and/or other federal offence record(s) does not automatically mean you will be ineligible for the position.
