Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in accordance with our restaurant's standards, ensuring that every dish is served promptly and meets our customers' expectations. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner, adhering to food safety regulations. Assist in meal preparation and food handling, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages as needed. Follow proper food handling techniques to minimize waste and ensure quality control. Participate in training recent kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety practices. Skills Proven experience in food service or as a cook in the food industry or restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to perform meal preparation tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders simultaneously during busy periods. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen setting. Strong attention to detail in food presentation and preparation techniques. Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
