This person will be responsible for enhancing the customer experience by establishing new rental and sales accounts and providing exceptional customer service to call‑in and walk‑in customers. Reporting to: Manager, OperationsEssential Duties and Responsibilities
Process rental quotations, reservations, contracts, and invoices in compliance with company policies Assist Operations Manager with service administrative tasks Coordinate and track daily equipment pick‑ups and returns Work in a rapid paced sales environment, providing helpful, quality service and salesService writing; providing equipment maintenance and shop service records Assist with deliveries and preparing equipment for rental Identify customer needs and react appropriately while understanding market conditions and local competitors Suggest equipment and supplies to meet customer needs Answering customer inquiries urgently and efficientlyPicking orders Putting away equipment and tools Continuous inventory checks General housekeeping General warehouse duties Represent Northstar Equipment Rentals in a professional manner Participate in the on‑call rotation Other duties and responsibilities as required Skills and Knowledge
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a variety of tasks in an effective, organized manner Demonstrate sales professionalism and interpersonal skills Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment Knowledge of construction equipment considered an asset Excellent written and verbal communication skillsDisplay a high level of ownership, accountability and initiative Microsoft Office skills with experience using MS Excel, Word, Outlook and Access Qualifications
Customer service experience in the rental business an asset Ability to lift 50+ pounds Experience operating a forklift and other equipment an asset; training will be provided Valid class 5 Alberta driver license with clean abstract Live our CORE Values: Have a Can‑Do Attitude, Respect Others, succeed as a Team, Lead with Courage and Deliver Results
