Construction Cleaner (Edmonton)

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Construction Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety standards on construction sites, ensuring that work areas are tidy, debris-free, and compliant with safety regulations. This role is essential in supporting the overall progress of construction projects by providing efficient cleaning and facilities maintenance services. Duties - Perform thorough cleaning of construction sites, including sweeping, dusting, and removing debris from work areas - Clean and sanitize tools, equipment, and materials used on-site - Maintain cleanliness of temporary facilities such as portable restrooms and site offices - Assist with waste disposal and ensure proper segregation of recyclable materials - Support general facilities maintenance tasks as needed to ensure a safe and organized work environment - Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment at all times during cleaning activities - Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate cleaning schedules to minimize disruption to ongoing work Qualifications - Prior experience in cleaning, commercial cleaning, or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required - Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards - Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods - Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team - Knowledge of basic maintenance procedures is a plus - Reliable with a strong work ethic and punctuality This position offers an opportunity to contribute to large-scale construction projects while developing skills in facilities maintenance and site management.
