Journeyman/woman Plumber and Gasfitter (Edmonton)

Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/woman Plumber and Gasfitter to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing and gas systems across various residential projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a wide range of technical skills in a professional environment committed to safety and quality workmanship. This is a part time position with potential to grow into full time. Responsibilities - Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, and appliances according to project specifications. - Perform gas fitting tasks including connecting, testing, and troubleshooting gas lines. - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute installations accurately. - Utilize hand tools, power tools, and other construction tools safely and effectively. - Conduct maintenance work on existing plumbing systems to ensure optimal operation. - Assist in the assembly of piping systems using schematics and technical instructions. - Perform heavy lifting as required for materials and equipment handling. - Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety standards, and industry regulations. - Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high quality standards. Qualifications - Valid Journeyman/woman Plumber and Gasfitter license or certification. - Clean drivers abstract and license. - Proven experience with plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance in commercial or residential settings. - Strong mechanical plumbing knowledge including some HVAC systems, and schematics reading. - Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction materials. - Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. - Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting tasks. - Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments. - Knowledge of safety protocols related to plumbing, gas fitting, construction sites, and heavy machinery operation.
