Assembly Line Worker (Edmonton)

We currently have an opening position for Assembly line worker. Duties and Responsibilities · Prepare component parts for assembly operations · Assemble primary & Secondary component parts for staged assembly · Testing of semi-assembled product for next final assembly · Perform final product assembly · Testing of the product prior to packaging · Labelling of finished good prior to packaging · Individual product packaging & labelling · Final Master Pack packaging and labelling · Other tasks may be assigned to this position · Light to Medium weight lifting of finished goods · Maintain a clean working area Experience and Qualification · N/A – will be trained at the job · Experience working with hand, power and/or air tools considered an asset but not required · Experience handling parts and materials such as glue, screw utilized in assembly processes desired but not essential · Good team player with communication skills · High regard for safety, follow all rules, regulations and legislation · Following Lean Manufacturing guidelines Work Environment: · Manufacturing/ assembly line setting · May be exposed to chemicals/fumes with proper ventilation device installed around work area Compensation and Benefit · Start from $18.00/hr - $20.00/hr depending on roles and experiences · Extended health and dental benefits following 3 months of employment · Endless summer benefit – one day paid off during summer months (June to August) Schedule: 8 hours day shift from 7:00am to 3:30pm Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour Benefits: - Dental care - Disability insurance - Employee assistance program - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site gym - In office parking Flexible language requirement: - French not required Ability to commute/relocate: - Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Experience: - Assembly: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pjfs6
