Entuitive is looking for aSenior Structural Engineer,based in our Edmontonofficeto be part of our Structural Engineeringteam. We are passionate about our workand the talented individuals that get to deliver complex projects on a regular basis. What will you do? Structural engineering design and calculations for all structural components including columns, beams, slabs, foundations, and lateral systems from the beginning to end of a project lifecycle. Design and engineering using materials such as structural steel, concrete, masonry, cold formed structural steel, and wood. Works to assemble and coordinate engineering drawings and contract documents in collaboration with our BIM technologists and other members of the engineering team. Conduct field reviews and other contract administrative duties. Drafts project-related correspondence as needed. Lead internal project design teams, including delegatingappropriate designtasks to and overseeing the technical production of the design engineers. Lead clientmeetingsfacilitating solutions to design issues and challenges and providing status updates. Conducts review of the architectural, electrical, mechanical, and structural drawings. Effectivelyuses QA tools and completes checklistsandsubmitsthem to the project engineer asrequired. Mentors junior staff with design and delivery elements of a project to ensure standards are upheld. Monitoring of internal project costs and review of monthly invoicing Requirements What do you need to succeed? An engineering degree with a focus on civil and structural engineering, coupled with 7 or more years of professional experience in the AEC industry. Professional engineering status in the Province of Alberta. Knowledge of theappropriate buildingcodes. Strong project management capability with a proventrack recordof delivering projects on time and on budget. Must have a working knowledge and ability to use programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel and structural analysis software (SAP2000, RAM, etc.). Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to work with people at all levels including project stakeholders and clients. Ability to manage multiple tasks andprioritiesand deliverables on an ongoing basis. Knowledge and interest related to embodied carbon is considered an asset Advantages Why Entuitive?
