Apprentice Electrician Edmonton

Overview We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to join our team and gain hands-on experience in electrical systems within industrial and construction environments. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to develop technical skills under the guidance of experienced electricians, contributing to various electrical projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and foundational knowledge of electrical principles. Duties Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in industrial and construction settings Use hand tools and power tools to perform wiring, conduit bending, and equipment assembly Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to support project execution Work with low voltage systems and assist in troubleshooting electrical issues Support in the installation of electrical components following safety standards and building codes Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency on job sites Follow instructions carefully while progressing through training modules and on-the-job tasks Requirements Basic understanding of electrical systems and construction processes Experience with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprint reading, and low voltage wiring is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Prior experience as an industrial electrician or in electrical work is a plus Ability to work safely in construction environments with adherence to safety protocols Robust attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude toward learning recent skills Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Valid driver’s license is preferred for travel between job sites This position provides valuable exposure to the electrical trade with opportunities for qualified growth within our organization.
